Rob’s 50 years in the workforce and consulting includes leadership and management in: building and construction, light industry, transport and logistics, oil and gas, manufacturing, corrections, education and training, not for profit organisations, social welfare, public service, risk, safety and business. SPoR was founded in 2002 and since then over 30,000 people have been educated across 30 countries in the foundations of SPoR and risk. SPoR has agencies and centres in: UK, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia Rob was on the Emergency Operations Group at Beaconsfield and managed a Centre during the Canberra Bushfires, he was also an advisor for World Youth Day. Many organisations implement Dr Long’s methodology and methods and his associates deliver programs in leadership, culture, learning and risk in SPoR across the globe.

No vídeo de hoje eu falo sobre accountability na segurança do trabalho, um tema muito presente nas novas visões (HOP, Nova Visão de Segurança e Fatores Humanos), mas que ainda gera confusão no dia a dia das empresas. A ideia central é simples: accountability funciona como um contrato. Quando expectativa, responsabilidade, prazo e condições não ficam claros, a frustração aparece especialmente nas relações com contratados e terceiros, onde muitas vezes delegamos atividades críticas sem alinhar os “termos” do acordo. Aqui eu proponho um caminho prático: melhorar a clareza do que é esperado, incluir quem executa na construção do combinado e diferenciar “vou tentar” de “está combinado”.
